The United States rejected Iranian state media reports claiming that Iranian forces had shot down a U.S. aircraft near the southern city of Bushehr.
Iran’s state television had earlier reported that a U.S. aircraft was destroyed near Bushehr.
Responding to the claim, the U.S. Central Command said the report was false and that no U.S. aircraft had been downed.
“All U.S. air assets are accounted for,” U.S. Central Command said in a statement, dismissing the Iranian media report.
