The United States and Iran will formally sign a peace agreement in Switzerland on June 19, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced, stating that both sides have already agreed to the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.

He said the agreement was reached following intensive talks between Washington and Tehran and described it as a diplomatic breakthrough aimed at ending the conflict.

“Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED,” he wrote on X.

According to the statement, both countries have declared an immediate and permanent end to military operations, while mediators will facilitate a series of meetings this week ahead of the official signing ceremony in Switzerland.

The Pakistani leader thanked the United States and Iran for their commitment to a diplomatic resolution and acknowledged the mediation efforts of Qatar. He also expressed appreciation to Saudi Arabia and Türkiye for their contributions to the peace process.

The pre-implementation discussions scheduled this week are expected to lay the groundwork for technical talks and the formal signing of the agreement on June 19.
