The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has condemned “in the strongest terms” the attacks and incursions by Israeli occupation forces into the Syrian governorates of Quneitra and Daraa, describing the actions as a violation of Syria’s sovereignty and international law.
In a statement issued from Jeddah on June 30, 2026, the OIC said Israeli forces targeted the areas with artillery shelling, calling it a “flagrant violation” of Syria’s sovereignty and a breach of international law and international humanitarian law.
The General Secretariat also expressed condemnation of what it described as Israel’s ongoing attacks on Syria and attempts to undermine the country’s security and stability, as well as efforts aimed at establishing security and stability in the region.
Reaffirming the OIC’s position of solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic, the statement stressed support for Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
The OIC further called on the international community to take immediate action to get the attacks halted and ensure respect for the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, saying this is necessary to safeguard Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
