A sharp exchange of statements has highlighted rising tensions between the United States and Iran, with both sides presenting contrasting narratives.
Today, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that Iran is experiencing “infighting” over its leadership, describing the situation as “crazy.”
In a post shared on Truth Social, Trump said the infighting is between “hardliners,” whom he said are “losing badly on the battlefield,” and “moderates,” whom he described as “not very moderate” but “gaining respect.”
He also asserted that the United States Navy has “total control” over the Strait of Hormuz, saying no ships can enter or leave without U.S. approval and that the waterway is “sealed up tight” until Iran agrees to a deal.

Following those remarks, Iran’s president Masoud Pezeshkian rejected any suggestion of internal divisions, saying there are no “radicals” or “moderates” in Iran and that all are “Iranian” and “revolutionary.” He emphasized unity between the nation and government and said the country stands in full obedience to the Supreme Leader of the Revolution.
In a statement shared on X, Pezeshkian warned that Iran would make the “criminal aggressor” regret its actions and stressed national unity with the phrase “One God, one nation, one leader, and one path,” describing that path as leading to the victory of Iran, which he said is “more precious than life.”
