Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Thursday accused global powers of a “collapse of human conscience,” citing a series of grievances ranging from the assassination of regional scientists to the deaths of children in a recent missile strike.

In a statement posted to the social media platform X, Pezeshkian recalled his address to the United Nations General Assembly in which he invoked the “Golden Rule” of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism—the principle of not wishing for others what one does not desire for oneself—claiming it is being “blatantly violated by the Zionist regime.”

The Iranian leader specifically challenged the international community over what he described as a nuclear double standard, questioning how one regime can possess nuclear weapons while war is waged against a nation for its peaceful nuclear program.

Pezeshkian further highlighted the targeted assassination of scientists in Iran, Iraq, and Syria, as well as the deaths of children in Minab—a reference to the February 2026 strike on a primary school in southern Iran—as evidence that moral and international principles have been abandoned by world leaders.
