The Spanish government on Saturday strongly condemned a “serious attack” on a French Catholic nun in Jerusalem, expressing solidarity with the victim and wishing her a speedy recovery.
In a statement, Spain said the perpetrator must be brought to justice and urged Israel to guarantee freedom of worship, respect the status quo in Jerusalem, and take measures to prevent such acts of violence.
