February 28:
Iran launched a series of missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and several United States military bases in the Gulf region on Saturday, hours after coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel reportedly hit multiple locations inside Iran earlier in the day.
The confrontation marks a sharp escalation in regional tensions and has raised fears of a broader conflict in the Middle East.

According to Iranian military officials, the attacks were carried out as a direct response to the earlier offensive conducted by the United States and Israel on Iranian territory. The initial strikes reportedly targeted military and strategic sites in and around Tehran and other cities.
Missiles and Drones Fired Toward Israel
Soon after the attacks inside Iran, Iranian forces launched a wave of ballistic missiles and drones toward Israel. Air-raid sirens sounded across major cities including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as Israeli air-defense systems moved to intercept the incoming projectiles.
Israeli authorities reported several interceptions while emergency services were placed on high alert across the country. Officials have not yet released a full assessment of damage or casualties.
U.S. Military Bases Targeted
Iran also directed attacks toward several American military facilities in the Gulf region. Reports indicate that bases connected to U.S. operations in Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates were among the locations targeted.
Explosions and air-defense activity were reported near military installations, while authorities in several Gulf countries issued emergency alerts.
Regional Security Concerns
Following the exchange of strikes, multiple countries across the region announced temporary airspace restrictions and heightened security measures. Officials warned that the situation remains highly volatile as military forces remain on alert.
The direct military exchanges between Iran, Israel and U.S. forces represent one of the most serious confrontations in the region in recent years. International leaders are urging restraint as concerns grow that continued retaliation could trigger a wider regional war.
Further developments are expected as more information becomes available.
