U.S. President Donald Trump has accused Iran of violating the recently agreed ceasefire after alleging that Iranian forces launched multiple one-way attack drones at commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, including one that reportedly struck a cargo vessel.
In a statement posted on social media, Trump has alleged that Iran launched at least four one-way attack drones at commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, claiming one of the drones struck the upper deck of a cargo ship.
According to Trump, the vessel sustained damage but was able to continue its voyage. He also claimed that U.S. forces intercepted and destroyed the remaining three drones before they could reach their targets.

The U.S. president described the alleged attack as a violation of the ceasefire agreement between the two sides and accused Iran of breaching the truce. However, he did not provide evidence to support the claims or identify the cargo vessel involved.
Iran had not immediately responded to the allegations, and there was no independent confirmation of the reported incident at the time of publication.
The Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most strategically important maritime routes, handles a significant share of global oil and natural gas shipments. Any attack on commercial shipping in the waterway could have implications for regional security and international trade.
