U.S. President Donald J. Trump on Friday announced a dramatic shift in U.S. Middle East policy, declaring that Israel is now “PROHIBITED” by the United States from conducting further strikes on Lebanon.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, “Israel will not be bombing Lebanon any longer” and that they are “prohibited” from doing so by the United States, adding, “Enough is enough.”
The U.S President’s statement follows the implementation of a fragile 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon. The move appears designed to decouple the ongoing Lebanon crisis from separate, sensitive negotiations with Iran regarding its nuclear stockpile.
The President also stated that the United States will take possession of all “Nuclear Dust” resulting from missions carried out by U.S. B2 Bombers. He emphasized that the acquisition would involve no financial transactions.
“The U.S.A. will get all Nuclear ‘Dust,’ created by our great B2 Bombers — No money will exchange hands in any way, shape, or form,” the President posted.
Trump further clarified that this nuclear agreement is not connected to the ongoing situation in Lebanon. He noted that the United States intends to work with Lebanon on a separate basis to address issues involving Hezbollah.
