Türkiye and Qatar have strongly condemned Israeli attacks on Lebanon, calling them a violation of international law.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye said Israel’s attacks have displaced nearly one million people and described them as a grave violation of international humanitarian law, warning that the escalation threatens regional stability.
Türkiye also said the government of Benjamin Netanyahu should not be allowed to carry out in Lebanon the same devastating policies seen in the Gaza Strip, and pledged solidarity with the Lebanese people.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry of Qatar also strongly condemned Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, calling them a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
Qatar urged the international community to fulfill its responsibility by compelling the Israeli occupation authorities to cease their repeated attacks on Lebanon and to respect international conventions and Laws.
Qatar reaffirmed its firm support for Lebanon, stressing the importance of protecting the country’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity amid rising regional tensions.
The statements come as Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon intensify, with hundreds killed and hundreds of thousands displaced amid escalating regional tensions.
