Ludhiana, Punjab – The second day of the Punjab State Inter-University Youth Festival, hosted by Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in collaboration with the Directorate of Youth Services, Government of Punjab, was an exciting display of Punjab’s cultural richness, youthful energy, and artistic talent. The event was attended by Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan as the Chief Guest, along with MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi and PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal.

In his address, Speaker Sandhwan emphasized the transformative potential of the younger generation, underscoring how their strength could elevate Punjab to new heights. He highlighted the state’s youth as the driving force behind a vision of a prosperous and vibrant Punjab, one that will be achieved under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the efforts of the AAP government. Sandhwan remarked, “India is the youngest nation in the world, and Punjab’s youth possess the ability not just to succeed but also to lead the country towards progress.”

Drawing attention to the importance of unity, love, peace, and harmony, Sandhwan called on the students to collaborate with the government in building a bright future for the state. He lauded PAU for creating a dynamic platform that nurtures innovation and talent among the youth, wishing all participants success in their future endeavors.

The event was further enriched by the presence of renowned figures from Punjab’s cultural and media landscape. Swaranjit Tehna, a celebrated Punjabi poet and storyteller, captivated the audience with his insights into the preservation of Punjabi culture. Harman Thind, a well-known media personality from Prime Asia TV, added glamour to the occasion, while Sufi singer Kanwar Grewal mesmerized the crowd with his soulful renditions, adding a spiritual touch to the celebrations.

The day’s cultural highlights featured stunning performances, including traditional folk dances like “Jhumar” and classical dances such as Kathak, Bharatanatyam, and Odissi. These performances were complemented by a range of competitions in poster making, cartooning, painting, debate, and elocution, showcasing the intellectual and artistic brilliance of the students.

As the festival continues, it remains a vibrant testament to the power of youth, creativity, and cultural heritage in shaping a brighter future for Punjab.
