The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned in the strongest terms what it described as continuing crimes of murder, incitement, settlement expansion and organised violence perpetrated by gangs of extremist settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement issued from Jeddah, the OIC said the attacks resulted in the killing of five Palestinian citizens and the injury of others in several villages across the territory.
The organization said the incident represents what it described as an extension of systematic crimes of the Israeli occupation based on policies of displacement, annexation and settlement, as well as attempts to impose alleged Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territory, in violation of international humanitarian law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
The OIC renewed its call on the international community to intervene immediately to stop ongoing Israeli crimes and violations throughout the occupied Palestinian territory and to impose clear and deterrent sanctions on the Israeli colonial settlement system.
