Ludhiana, January 4: The Municipal Corporation (MC) intensified its crackdown on hotels violating parking norms for the second consecutive day, sealing 12 establishments on Saturday. The affected hotels are located in the Jawahar Nagar Camp area near the bus stand and the vicinity of the clock tower.
Of these, nine hotels fall under Zone D of the MC in the Jawahar Nagar Camp area. These include Hotel Malwa, two hotels named Hotel Diamond, two named Hotel Armaan, Hotel Palm Inn, Hotel Tania Palace, Hotel Sidana, and Hotel Indian.
In Zone A, near the clock tower, three hotels—Hotel Puneet, Hotel Citizen, and Hotel Hallmark—were sealed.
MC officials from Zones A and D stated that the action was carried out under the directives of MC Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal, in compliance with orders previously issued by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The officials confirmed that the drive against parking violations will continue in the coming days.
On Friday, the MC had sealed eight hotels in Zone D. With the latest action, a total of 20 hotels have been sealed over the past two days.
