Türkiye has strongly condemned Israel’s recent attack targeting military infrastructure in southern Syria, calling it a dangerous escalation.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on March 20, Türkiye said, “Israel’s recent attack targeting military infrastructure in southern Syria constitutes a dangerous escalation and we strongly condemn it.”

The statement called on the international community to assume its responsibility to ensure the cessation of Israeli attacks, stating that such actions violate international law as well as Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. It also underlined the importance of implementing the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement.

Türkiye further affirmed that it will continue to stand in solidarity with the Syrian government and its people in their efforts to establish lasting stability and security in Syria, based on the country’s territorial integrity, unity, and sovereignty.

Qatar Condemns Strike on Syria, Cites International Inaction

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Qatar) also issued a strong condemnation of an Israeli strike targeting military facilities in southern Syria, describing the attack as a serious violation of sovereignty and international law.

In an official statement, Qatar denounced the actions of Israel, calling them a “flagrant breach” of the principles outlined in the United Nations Charter. The ministry stressed that continued military operations of this nature risk further destabilizing an already volatile region.

The statement also criticized the international community’s inability to halt such incidents, warning that inaction contributes to the worsening crisis in the Middle East.

Reaffirming its position, Qatar expressed full solidarity with the Syrian government and reiterated its support for preserving Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
