As Israeli attacks continue on Lebanon, the Ministry of Public Health Lebanon has reported a significant rise in casualties.

In its latest update issued on March 23, the ministry reported 1,039 “martyrs”—its term for those killed—since March 2, with the number of injured reaching 2,876.

The report added that 10 people were killed and 90 wounded in the past 24 hours, highlighting the sustained intensity of the strikes.

A breakdown of the figures shows that those killed include 842 men, 79 women, and 118 children, while the injured comprise 2,065 men, 431 women, and 380 children.

The latest data underscores the growing humanitarian impact of the ongoing attacks, with civilians—including women and children—bearing a significant share of the casualties, as Lebanon’s healthcare system faces increasing strain.
